A friend of mine had a hilarious idea. Having a dedicated switch in your bathroom that, when switched, it’d play a 90s relaxing song. Here is a prototype. It uses a smart relay, a raspberry pi (overkill), a regular electric switch and speakers.

The relay has a full tcp/ip stack and it can be connected to send events to a mqtt server. I have then a bit of go code running in the pi that picks on the events and plays the song as necessary.
